Cara Cannon

Interesting Fact:
Outside of my work as a Biokineticist, I am also a dancer and performer. My experience as both a dancer and a movement professional has given me a unique appreciation for the physical demands of dance and the importance of strength, mobility, control and injury prevention.

About Me:
I am a passionate Biokineticist with a strong interest in movement, rehabilitation and performance. I have always been interested in movement and helping people, which led me to pursue a career in Biokinetics.
I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals, from athletes looking to improve their performance to those recovering from injury and wanting to return to the activities they love. I believe every person is different, and exercise should reflect that. My goal is to help people feel stronger, more confident and capable in their bodies.

Qualifications

  • Graduated with a degree in Biokinetics at Nelson Mandela University
  • Currently completing my Master’s degree in Human Movement Science with my research focusing on the musculoskeletal and proprioceptive characteristics of adolescent ballet dancers.

Movement is not just about what your body can do today, but about helping it become capable of more tomorrow.
